Karting

Located at VIRginia International Raceway, the VIR Kart Track offers an opportunity to hone your racing skills on a state-of the-art 5/8 miles, 24-foot-wide paved karting circuit.

Almost every successful pro driver in the world today got their start in karting, where the dynamics of driving are amplified, more easily understood and often more readily practiced than in full-sized cars.

VIR Adult Kart Racing League

This is a racing league based on single competitors in groups of 10 competing for the season title. Individuals must meet the pre-determined lap time to be set by VIR Kart Track. You do not need to be a Kart or VIR Member to race. There is a flat fee of $50 per race per person over 12 years of age that includes the following:

  • 15 minute practice
  • 5 minute qualifying session
  • 30 minute race

There will be 16 scheduled races for the year and to obtain points and qualify for the season end prizes you must compete in more than 8 races.
